There are five pillars to our weight loss resort and wellness program them being exercise, nutrition, education, relaxation and sustainability.
The exercise program is tailored to your current fitness level through our weight loss retreat specialists on site. You will go through a thorough assessment before you start exercising with us, making sure you enter the exercise program at a safe and suitable intensity for your fitness level. We have all fitness levels, shapes and sizes on every course so there’s no need to be nervous when joining us at FitFarms.
The nutrition program is both plant based and primal. We specialize in catering for all different food requirements or diet requests and our menu is seasonal and locally sourced. We do not think of food as fuel. We work with food so you receive the right amount of nutrients which will help with growth development, disease prevention which ultimately helps with your mood and emotional wellbeing.
The educational workshops cover nutrition, exercise, planning, scheduling, sleep, body analysis and lifestyle. It’s important to understand the reason why you are going through certain processes at FitFarms as it creates the foundation for motivation and ensuring a progressive weight loss past FitFarms. This will support you in reaching your short and long term goals.
Relaxation is the fourth element of our program. It is often overlooked but will play one of the major factors of your weight loss and wellbeing journey. Without relaxation stress is created which leads to a lift in your cortisol levels. When cortisol levels rise it creates weight gain especially around the abdomen level, mental wellbeing and relaxation is something we highly value at FitFarms. The FitFarms relaxation sessions will help with managing stress, improve sleep, and reduce emotional eating.
Sustainability the fifth part of the program and the most important prepares and supports you for a long-term healthy lifestyle and weight loss for when you return home. It is much easier to lose weight and change your lifestyle when you are in a controlled environment surrounded by health professionals. The real course starts when you arrive home, applying the knowledge and tools into your current lifestyle. You will be paired with a mentor at FitFarms and they will devise a tailored program to fit around your current health and ability. Your mentor will follow you through your post course program, motivating and supporting you to reach your long term goals.
